Scott Yu has extensive experiences in advising clients across various industries and sectors on corporate law and competition law issues as well as daily operation matters. He has over 16 years of experiences of working with leading PRC, Hong Kong and US law firms and serving all types of clients from start-ups to large multinationals, which enabled him to develop legal knowledge and expertise as well as the skills of working for clients with different cultural backgrounds.
Scott YU is always willing to understand client’s legal and commercial needs, and impressed clients of his ability to find a practical solution within the legal framework. He has acted as the lead counsel in a number of mega sized acquisitions and joint venture projects, including certain billion-dollar-value joint venture projects and acquisitions. His clients include those leaders in their respective areas such as Alstom, Areva, Cummins, Schneider Electrics, Warburg Pincus, Microsoft. In recent years, he has advised in a number of large merger, privatization and joint venture projects from anti-trust perspective and helped client to structure the transaction in the most optimized way.

Scott Yu’s practice focuses on the cross-border M&A transactions, anti-trust, FDI and corporate matters. Before joining Zhong Lun, he worked with a major international law firm for six years and acted as the lead counsel in a number of mega sized acquisitions and joint venture projects.
