Zhong Lun Provides Full Legal Services for Universal Beijing Resort Project
On September 20, 2021, Universal Beijing Resort was officially opened to the public. The much-anticipated tourist destination features Asia’s third and the world’s fifth Universal Studio, Universal CityWalk retail, dining and entertainment complex, the first-ever Universal-themed resort hotel and the first NUO-branded resort hotel of Beijing Tourism Group.
The Resort is owned by Beijing International Resort Co., Ltd., a joint venture between Beijing Shouhuan Cultural Tourism Investment Co., Ltd. (controlled by Beijing Tourism Group) and Universal Parks & Resorts, a business arm of Comcast NBCUniversal.
Zhong Lun, acting as legal counsel for Beijing Shouhuan Cultural Tourism Investment Co., Ltd., has provided comprehensive and multi-dimensional legal services over land acquisition, transaction and negotiation, joint venture establishment, project financing, project construction, etc. The team was led by partner Maoyuan Zhu and supported by other partners, including Gavin Zhang, Scott Yu, Helen Cheng, Song Mu, Ting Yuan and Jiong Zhang, among others.
